CAROLINE PEYTON - Call Of The Wild (1977)

The fine purveyors of sound at Feeding Tube Records in Northampton, MA were kindly able to provide me with an original copy of singer-songwriter Caroline Peyton’s second LP Intuition for only a slightly significant portion of my weekly (daily?) record buying allowance. Pressed on the tiny BAR-B-QUE label out of Peyton’s adoptive hometown of Bloomington, Indiana in late 70s, it was the kind of record I never really expected to see IRL IML (in real life, in my lifetime). Having known Intuition from the Asterisk CD reissue from a few years back, I had been mostly drawn to the record by the excellent spacey country opener “Still With You,” but listening to this copy I’ve found myself paying more attention to synthy side-one ender “Call Of The Wild.” Enjoy, nerds.
